Virgil Dark Side Theory
What if Virgil was the infiltrator?
Here me out.
From the endcard in the most recent episode as of this posting, Deceit’s discussion of other dark sides and “pretending to be something you’re not” definitely rubbed Virgil the wrong way. He grimaces as Deceit says this line and I’ve considered the following:
If Virgil is a dark side, what’s to say he ever stopped being one?
Not saying he doesn’t love the other light sides but what I am saying is he wasn’t supposed to.
Imagine the dark sides want to corrupt the others. They want to take over Thomas and make him evil or whatever. They want more say in what he does. So back then they send the most morally gray character into the light sides’ domain: Virgil.
He was supposed to get them on his side and fake liking them to make them vulnerable to control. But after spending time with Thomas, Logan, Roman, and especially Patton, Virgil realized that his host and the light sides weren’t bad at all.
He didn’t want to do anything to them anymore. He became frustrated because now the dark sides were gonna want answers. Why didn’t he just use his shadow powers (i.e. the power to make everything dark like he did in Nightmare Instead of Christmas) to control and do things?
Virgil fell hard for the family love. He didn’t mean to but now Deceit is rubbing in his face. Virgil was supposed to fake being something he wasn’t but now he’s actually become that person he wasn’t supposed to be. And he’s happier for it.
Thomas accepted him which was maybe something he didn’t expect.
Now he’s turned his back on the dark sides. Deceit is warning him “maybe you’ll be rid of us all” talking about all dark sides being reformed? Or the dark sides being so suppressed they can’t form physical bodies anymore???
But it’s just my theory. I’m unsure where it will go but excited to find out.
Probs what actually is going to happen in the future, and everyone is gonna cry :,) (100% support this theory)
So we finally have an answer as to why Hawk Moth wasn’t using the Peacock Miraculous, it makes the user sick. If there truly is something wrong with Miraculous, that it harms its holder…is that what’s wrong with Emilie?
